The High Court of Gujarat was started on 1st May 1960. It was established under the Reorganisation Act, 1960 once the state of Bombay Splits into 2 states of Maharashtra and Gujarat. At the time the High court started working near Akashwani, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. And later on from the year 16 January 1999 the High Court was moved to the new building at Sola, Ahmadabad.
The High Court of Gujarat has jurisdiction on the entire state. The Gujarat High Court has jurisdiction on all the administrative, districts and other courts in Gujarat. This High court has the authority to punish anyone for the contempt of court. When the matter comes to power the Gujarat High Court has the wide power, mainly on judicial review. The State High Court also has the power to issue different writs to courts and authority under its jurisdiction. High Court of Gujarat has power of superintendence on all courts under it.

Name of the Post: Driver
Age Limit as on 15-03-2018: Minimum 23 years and maximum 33 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per government rules.
Application Fee : Candidates have to pay Rs.300/- & Rs.150/- for SC/ST/EBC/PH Candidates through Cash Voucher at any SBI branches.
Education Qualification: 12th Class Passed or Equivalent and 3 years experience in Driving.
Pay Scale: Rs. 19900-63200/-
Selection Process: Through Written Examination and Driving Test.
