KVS Balvatika-3 Admission Age Limit Table 2024-25
Please note that admission to Balvatika-3 class will be based on priority and reservations outlined in the KVS Admission Guidelines for 2023-24. The age criteria for Balvatika-3 are as follows: Children should be at least 5 years old but not yet 6 years old as of March 31st, 2023.
Age limits for admission to KVS Balvatika in the academic year 2023-24 are as follows:
- Balvatika I: Children must be at least 3 years old but not yet 4 years old as of March 31st, 2023.
- Balvatika II: Children must be at least 4 years old but not yet 5 years old as of March 31st, 2023.

Now, let’s dive into the important dates. On July 6th, 2024, at 9:00 AM sharp, the online registration for Balvatika-3 will open its doors. It’s a race against time, as the last date for online registration is July 18th, 2024, at 7:00 PM. Make sure to complete this step within the given timeframe to avoid missing out on this fantastic opportunity.
Once the registration process is complete, the moment you’ve been waiting for arrives. The provisional select and waitlist of registered candidates will be declared. This will determine whether your child has been selected or placed on the waitlist.
If your child is among the lucky ones who have been selected, congratulations! The admission process for these eligible candidates will take place from July 20th, 2024 (Thursday) to July 28th, 2024 (Friday). It’s time to celebrate this achievement and prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey.

KVS Balvatika 3 Admission Procedure and Documents 2024-25
Admission Process and Required Documents for KVS Balvatika 2024-25
The admission procedure for KVS Balvatika in the year 2023-24 is governed by certain regulations. It is important to note that the reservation under the provisions of the RTE Act-2009 is applicable only for Balvatika-3. However, the provision for admission under the Single Girl Child category does not apply to Balvatika-3.
To ensure widespread awareness, local advertisements will be issued by the respective KVs in their locality. This will ensure that interested individuals are well-informed about the admission process.
The notification, registration, and admission will be done in accordance with the Admission Schedule (Annexure-II) provided. For admission to Balvatika-3, the registration process will be conducted online. A separate registration link, along with the schedule for the draw of lots and other relevant details, will be issued.
When submitting the online application form, it is mandatory to upload scanned or digital copies of two documents – the child’s birth certificate and a photograph. These files should be in either .jpeg or .pdf format and should not exceed 256 KB in size.
Additionally, depending on the information filled in the previous sections of the online admission form, a list of documents required at the time of admission will be displayed. It is important to note that these documents need to be presented to the concerned Vidyalaya for verification, but not while submitting the online application form. Separate lists of documents will be provided for each school chosen in the application form.
To assist applicants, sample pro-forma document templates are available for some of the required documents. These templates can be accessed by clicking on “Click here to download pro-forma of documents” on the link labeled “Pro forma document samples.”
Please ensure that both the originals and copies of the listed documents are presented to the Vidyalaya for verification in order for the child to be admitted to the desired school.
KVS Balvatika 3 Timing and Fee Structure 2024-25
1.The school will operate for a duration of 03 hours per day, following a five-day week schedule. The specific timings will be determined by each Vidyalaya. |
2.Vacation and breaks will adhere to the existing schedule. |
3.Balvatika classes do not have a prescribed uniform. |
4.The fee structure for Balvatika classes will mirror that of Class I, as outlined in the office letter dated 31.03.2013. Payments will be collected exclusively through the UBI portal. |
5.Balvatika-3 will utilize the curriculum and resources recommended by NCERT. Academic resources for Balvatika classes were shared in the office letter dated 24.11.2022. |
KVS Balvatika 3 Admission General Instructions
1.These instructions pertain to online application for admission to Bal Vatika – 3 in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the academic year 2024-2025. In the remainder of these instructions, a “Vidyalaya” means a Kendriya Vidyalaya.
2. Please familiarize yourself with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) admission rules, regulations and guidelines available at this link.
3. You are strongly advised NOT to submit multiple applications to the same Vidyalaya for the same child. If multiple registration forms are submitted for the same child in the same Kendriya Vidyalaya, only the last application will be considered in admission process.
In a double shift Kendriya Vidyalaya, each shift will be treated as separate Vidyalaya for admission purpose.
4. In order to ensure smooth and quick filling of the application form, please keep the following ready:
i. a valid mobile number with Indian SIM card, |
ii. a valid email address, |
iii. a digital photograph or scanned photograph of the child seeking admission (JPEG file of size at most 256KB), |
iv. a scan copy of the child’s birth certificate (JPEG or PDF file of size at most 256KB), |
v. details of government certificate in case you are applying under economically weak section, |
vi. transfer details of parent/grandparent whose service credentials will be used in the application. |
5. There are two necessary steps involved in successfully submitting an application form.
a. Registering on the portal: On successful registration, you will be assigned a unique Login Code. Please note down your unique Login Code carefully.

2.1 Instructions
Once the portal is opened, instructions for filling the form will be displayed. It is mandatory for each first-time user to read these instructions before registering and filling the form. Once a first-time user reads and clicks on the declaration checkbox (certifying that the user has read and understood all instructions) the Proceed button will be enabled. On clicking the Proceed button, the user will be directed to Sign-up/Sign-in page.
2.2 Registration (sign-up) of first-time user
For the first time user, she/he needs to register or sign-up in the portal. To register/sign-up, the following information of the child needs to be filled.
First name of child : This is a mandatory field. The first name must only contain letters from the English alphabet, space or dot (.) with the first character necessarily being an English letter. The data entered here can not be modified after sign-up.
Middle name of child : The data entered here can not be modified after sign-up. The middle name can only contain letters from the English alphabet, space and dot (.) with the first character necessarily being an English letter.
Last name of child: The data entered here can not be modified after sign-up. The last name can only contain letters from the English alphabet, space and dot (.) with the first character necessarily being an English letter.
Parents are advised to enter the first, middle and last names of the child exactly as in the birth certificate (or other admissible document certifying the name of the child).
Is the child differently-abled? : This is a mandatory field. Please select Yes if applicable, otherwise select No. This information cannot be modified after sign up. If you indicate Yes here, the original document of proof of disability must be produced at the time of admission, if a Vidyalaya offers provisional admission to the child. Such a proof includes a certificate from the civil surgeon / rehabilitation centre or any other competent authority defined by the Government of India O.M. No. 36035/5/88/Estt.(sct) dated 4.5.1999 certifying the child to be handicapped, wherever applicable. In case, where the handicap of the child can be visually seen by the Principal, the child may be accepted as handicapped even without a certificate. However, the parent may be advised to obtain the relevant certificate from the competent authority and submit the same to the Vidyalaya at a later time.
Date of birth of child: This is a mandatory field. Please enter date of birth as per birth certificate of the child, issued by competent authority. This information cannot be changed after sign-up.
Important: As per KVS admission guidelines, the minimum age for admission to Bal Vatika – 3 is 5 years and the maximum admissible age is 6 years as on 1 April, 2023, with a 2 years relaxation in upper age limit of “Differently Abled” applicants. Thus, the allowed range of date of birth of a child seeking admission to Bal Vatika – 3 in 2023-2024 is: 1 April, 2017 to 1 April, 2018 for applications not in the “Differently Abled” category. The allowed range of date of birth of a child seeking admission in the “Differently Abled” category is 1 April, 2015 to 1 April, 2018.
If the date of birth does not lie in the above mentioned range, sign-up/registration will not be allowed. A scan/picture of proof of date of birth (JPEG file of size at most 256KB) must be uploaded while submitting the online admission form. You are therefore advised to keep the scanned proof handy. For admission to Bal Vatika – 3, certificate of proof of age must be in the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births. This will include certificates from Notified Area Council / Municipality / Municipal Corporation / extract about the date of birth from records of Village Panchayat, Military Hospital and service records of Defence personnel. If a Vidyalaya offers provisional admission to a child, the original certificate of date of birth must be produced at the time of admission. This will be returned after verification.
2.3 Login (sign-in) to the Admission application portal
To login to the admission application portal, the following information must be provided exactly as given during registration :
i.Login Code ( generated after successful registration)
ii. Date of birth of child entered while signing up (registering)
iii. Mobile number (with Indian SIM card) entered while signing up (registering)
After entering the above information correctly, please click on the ,”Login” button to open the online admission form.
2.4 Filling in admission application form and uploading documents
