1.Online Registration for Admission to Class-I in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the Academic Year 2023-24 will commence at 10:00 am on 27.03.2023 and will close at 07:00 pm on 17.04.2023. The Admission details are available on website https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in and Android Mobile App.
2. Minimum age for admission in class-I will be 6 years. Reckoning of age for all Classes shall be as on 31.03.2023. Reservation of seats will be as per KVS Admission Guidelines 2023-24 available on the Website (https://kvsangathan.nic.in)
3. The official Android Mobile App for KVS Online Admission for Class-I for the Academic Year 2023-24 and instructions for downloading and installing the App will be available at https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/apps/. The app will be available at the above URL and also at Google Play Store. Parents are requested to go through the instructions for using the portal and mobile app carefully before using them.
4. Registration for Class II and above will be started from 03.04.2023 (Monday) at 08:00 am to 12.04.2023 (Wednesday) upto 04:00 pm if vacancies exist in offline mode only. The duly filled up form needs to be
submitted to the office of the Principal in the respective KV.
5. All information regarding Admission & Registration forms for Class-II and above are available in the Vidyalaya Websites and registrations can be done as per the Schedule for Admission -2023-24.
6. Registration for Class-II and above will be accepted only if vacancy exists in the respective KV.
7. Admission will not be granted, if wrong and misleading information in the application form is found at the time of scrutiny by the KV.
8. Contact Principal/Admission In-charge only when called in the given time slot.

The headquarters of KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) has already launched an official single window portal for the class 1 admission process! This KVS admission portal [kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in] is still alive! You can check the instructions given in the last academic year.

What is the New Age Cut-off in KVS 2023-24 ?
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Age Rules Has Been Changed From The Academic Year 2023-24The minimum entry age for class 1 admission in all KV schools has been increased to 6 years instead of 5 years from this academic year 2023-24. All parents and guardians are advised to check your child’s age should be 6 years as of March 31, 2023!.

After successful registration in KV admission portal of your child for class 1 in any Kendriya Vidyalaya school, you can check the status of your application in the same portal! If any problem shows, you can correct the application form according to the instructions given on the same webpage! After completion of the registration period the in KVS portal for class 1 admission, the eligible list of candidates (with their parents’ names) will be displayed on the respective school notice board.

No, KV Admission MP Quotas Not Available in KV School. Similarly, the Parliamentarian quota for admissions has been canceled. Also canceled are quotas that were available for various bureaucrats. There is no denying the fact that it had greatly benefitted ordinary folks. Most parents have welcomed this decision.
KVS Admissions Important Dates for the 2023-2024?
The admissions for the next academic year, 2023-2024, are expected to begin in the month of March 2023. Official announcements on admissions are expected in the Last week of February 2023. An exclusive website is already in place for this. New students can register their names on this website. Students who registered their names last year do not have to register themselves again. A deadline of more than two weeks shall be given to all the students. Parents must necessarily register the names of their wards, along with appropriate certificates and documents by then.
The notion that only Central Government employees can admit their children to Kendriya Vidyalaya schools is wrong. Admissions are open for all under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. the child’s age and the school’s proximity to the place of residence are the main criteria.
What is the Procedure in KVS Admission for 2023-2024?
Admissions for all the Kendriya Vidyalaya schools take place on the same website, on specific days mentioned. Notifications and instructions shall be made available on the official Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan website (https://kvsangathan.nic.in/). The first step in securing admission to Class I is to register the names of the wards on the admission portal. The registration process, which usually remains open for nearly 20 days, is the most crucial one. All the necessary documents must be provided at the time of registration. The parents must also ensure that their registration is approved. Any errors during registration can be rectified later. After verifying the documents, the registration details are forwarded to the appropriate schools. Prior to selecting the candidates based on the lottery system, the applicants will be asked to go to the appropriate schools and verify if their names are on the application lists.
How Much Seat for Class 1 in KVS 2023-24?
Seats are allocated in the following manner, for Class I students
25 percent of students under RTE
- 15 percent for SC
- 7.5 percent for ST
- 27 percent for OBC
- Seat allocation for a class of 40 students
How Much Seat Under RTE for Class 1 in KVS 2023-24?
All Kendriya Vidyalaya schools will conduct a draw of lots for class 1 admission under RTE. 25 percent of existing seats are to be filled under RTE rules by the way of ‘Draw of lots’ in all KV schools. The management of KV school will constitute a committee for conducting Draw of Lots. The constituted committee will conduct the Draw of lots and announce the final result immediately!

- 7.5 percent for ST – 03 seats
- 27 percent for OBC – 11 seats
Additionally, three percent of seats are allocated to differently-abled children.
What is ‘Single Girl Child’ quota KV admission 2023-24?
Central Government is given a spectacular priority to ‘Single Girl Child’ in KVS admission. The SGC (Single Girl Child) category means the parents have only a girl child to the parents, with no other siblings. In this priority includes twin girl children also. SGC category children must submit an affidavit certifying that the child is a single girl child at the time of admission.
KVS Admission How Many Category List for Class 1
Preference in Admission to wards will be based on the number of transfers of the parents in the last 7 years. In respect of Category I, II, III, and IV admissions the veracity of the Certificates submitted by the parents as proof of their service must be invariably verified by the Principal.
Category I: Children of transferable and non-transferable central government employees and children of ex-servicemen.
Category II: Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of autonomous bodies/public sector undertaking/institute of higher learning of the Government of India.
Category III: Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.
Category IV: Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of autonomous bodies/ public sector undertakings / institutes of higher learning of the State Governments.
Category V: Children from any other category including children of foreign nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons. The Children of Foreign Nationals would be considered only in case there are no children of Indian Nationals waitlisted for admission.
What is Fee Structure for KVS 2023-24?
Kendriya Vidyalaya is the only educational institution that provides education at very low costs and doesn’t charge any additional fee. The fees are so low that you can call it free education! The monthly fee for Class I is Rs.500, with plenty of concessions available. There is no fee for the 25 percent of students admitted under the RTE 2009 Act. Appropriate refunds, based on maximum limits and fund availability, are available for the RTE students for the NCERT textbooks, notebooks, writing material, school uniforms, and transportation expenses.
What is the Uniform KV School 2023-24?
