Grant of Running Allowance to Ticket Checking Staff on the lines of Loco Pilots & Guards and redressal of various demands raised by NFIR pending with the Railway Board

Sub: Grant of Running Allowance to Ticket Checking Staff on the lines of Loco Pilots & Guards and redressal of various demands raised by NFIR pending with the Railway Board-reg.

Ref: Railway Board’s letter No.ERB-I/2018/23/48 dated 28/11/2018.

With reference to Railway Board’s decision, constituting a Committee to examine certain issues relating to Ticket Checking Staff, mainly to grant Running Allowance to Ticket Checking Staff on the lines of Loco Pilots & Guards and creation of posts of Ticket Checking Staff in the same manner as that of Running Staff, NFIR brings to your kind notice that the Federation has been raising various issues concerning Ticket Checking Staff since long through PNM fora as well through written communications to the Railway Board. The Member (Traffic) also held a separate meeting with the NFIR on 07/05/2018 on PNM Item No. 37/2015 on NFIR’s Federation’s demand for simultaneous creation of posts of Ticket Checking Staff when new trains are introduced or runs extended. In this connection, record note of discussions held by the Board (MT) with the NFIR on 07/05/2018, issued by the Railway Board vide letter No. 2016/TCFM-10/1 dated 18/07/2018 may kindly be connected.

Federation has also raised various important issues relating to the Ticket Checking category and summary of the same is as follows:-

NFIR has been repeatedly pressing for improvement in the Rest Rooms of Ticket Checking Staff at par with the Running Staff and also ensure similar other facilities.

NFIR again requests the Railway Board (MT) to kindly see that Railway Board address the above issues of Ticket Checking staff without further loss of time. NFIR also requests that a meeting of NFIR may be convened at the level of MT as a follow up to the discussions held with the MT on 07/05/2018 which would facilitate to resolve the above listed items.

Federation hopes that speedy action will be taken by the Board on the above pending issue.
