Sub: Holding’oPension Adalats” on Indian Railways-reg’
Ref: Railway Board’s letter No. E(W) 92-PAI-8/l dated 25\04\1994 & letter No’ E(W) 95-PA/l dated 12\10\1995.
During discussions with you on 5th October 2018, I mentioned the necessity of conducting pension Adalats on Indian Railways in the month of December (15-17) every year’ In this connection I desire to convey that pursuant to the discussions held in the Standing Committee of Voluntary Agencies (SCOVA) on 2l December, 1993 and on going through the guidelines formulated by the Dop&pw, the Ministry of Railways had decided to hold Pension Adalats and accordingly issued necessary guidelines to the Zonal Railways/Production Units to hold pension Adalat Jn’t stn December every year or the I st working day after that day in case the 15th is holiday. The guidelines issued by the Railway Board also included that wide and adequate publicity through print and visual media and other means like posters at prominent places be given in advance’to enable the pensioners to send their cases/representations in time for consideration in such Adalats. The guidelines issued also included the time frame commencing from August of every year and concluding Pension Adalat in December l5-17 of each year It is therefore, requested to kindly look into the matter for issuing instructions to the GMs etc., to conduct Pension Adalat on a day convenient between 15- 17 December’ 2018.
